Backblaze

I always recommend my friends who still don’t keep a backup copy of their hard disk to start right now, and recently I find myself recommending more often Backblaze, the online backup application that is very Mac-friendly also. The 50$ per year with unlimited storage is a great plan in my opinion.

It seems that June is celebrated as the backup-awareness month in this industry and Backblaze will give a free iPad to one of their new customers. They will draw a winner amid all of the people who subscribe to the service in June and if I refer you I also will win an iPad! So please click this link http://bit.ly/backblaze_ipad and if you win please tell them I referred you :)

A cheap Usb external sound card which can help with your Mac
This usb sound card allowed me to use my old, simple Logitec headset with Macs which are known to have an uncommon microphone entry and often require a headset with an usb interface for voip and other voice applications. I say that for $2.14 and free shipping (but it will take a month to arrive at your home) it’s worth trying before buying a new wireless or usb headset instead of your old one with two audio jacks. Of course it’s not of any help if you look for high quality voice recording.

MatthewWarner writes a great blog dealing with the issues of living your life as a Catholic. Here’s the first of the “Love Life” series that examines the choice of life and “choice.”

As expected, there’s plenty of hate spewed on the youtube comments, but so long as the message gets though to at least one person, it’s worth it.
